I'm Carolyn Shwash, founder of ClearComm. I help executives, managers and their teams in Frankfurt and beyond speak English with clarity, authority and ease, in the meetings, negotiations and presentations where it matters most.
Why my approach is different
I'm an American who has lived and worked in Germany for more than 30 years, and I'm fluent in German. I know exactly where German-speaking professionals feel most at ease in English, and where a message gets lost on the way to an international audience.
My business background matters here. I started my career in audit and accounting at PwC and 3M, I hold an MBA, and I spent more than ten years in enterprise software sales and business development across Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the wider EMEA region. I know what a board, a client or a negotiating partner expects to hear, and I coach with that in mind.
Teaching and coaching experience
I have taught Business English since 1999, including preparation for the Cambridge BEC exams, and I'm TEFL certified. Today I work as an executive business coach, both through ClearComm and through Affina Training & Consulting. Sessions are practical and tailored to you: we work on your real meetings, emails and presentations, not generic exercises.
